Its it against the rules to change equips in the middle of the fight?

Not that I'm aware of... In fact, it's good strategy to change equips during most PvP fights.
The many names I go by:

It is allowed to change gears as much as you want - but you cant open your storage to get new gears and what not.

it wouldn't be anyway, tbh... in fact, angeling + aspersio could set you up for an easy defeat....

The only thing here which bothers me is that you all will see that most of the people will start using Melee Priests with BOTD <.<

Lol, funny thing is, almost everyone in the Warlock BoC were melee'ing.
